·Sizing guide and formula

Model Suited to Users, approx. UTM throughput, approx. Indicative cost

Sizing uses approximate real-world figures: the users ceiling is a comfort guideline and the throughput column reflects performance with UTM services (IPS + anti-malware) enabled, which is far lower than raw throughput. Check the official datasheet for exact numbers, and size up if you expect growth. High Availability is included at no extra license cost on the 200H and above.

ALE = incident cost × incidents/year  →  losses avoided = ALE × (new mitigation − current mitigation) × years  →  ROSI = (losses avoided − total cost) ÷ total cost

ROSI is measured against what you have today: an ISP router is treated as unprotected (0%), and an existing IDP/IPS firewall is assumed to lower loss exposure by 10% versus unprotected ("I don't know" assumes a router). Total cost of ownership counts hardware once (twice for an HA pair), plus license and admin costs every year. The mitigation rate estimates how much of your loss exposure the platform's protections (AI-powered threat detection, IPS, anti-malware, sandboxing, content filtering) remove; no cybersecurity solution reaches 100%, especially against phishing and insider threats.
